Our guest clinician will be Ingrid Jacobson Clarfield who is a nationally recognized teacher, clinician, pianist, and author and is Professor of Piano and Coordinator of the Piano Department at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey. She also directs Westminster Choir College's Piano Week for High School Students and is a frequent guest clinician at Calgary Arts Summer School Piano Camp in Alberta, Canada.

The Montana State Music Teachers Association is pleased to bring Dr. Jane Magrath from the University of Oklahoma and Dr. Peter Miyamoto from The University of Missouri--Columbia to Missoula, MT for our annual State Conference. This will be a first time to our great state for both artists. Dr. Magrath will present a masterclass and clinics for our members, while Dr. Miyamoto will present a solo recital and an advanced masterclass. Both artists are highly sought after in the US and abroad, and we are excited to have them all to ourselves for three days!
University of Montana Keyboard Society wins MTNA Benjamin Whitten Collegiate Chapter of the Year Award

The University of Montana Keyboard Society is the recipient of the 2010 Benjamin Whitten Collegiate Chapter of the Year Award. Elaine Bennion, Keyboard Society President, and Dr. Christopher Hahn, faculty advisor, will receive the award at the MTNA National Conference in Albuquerque, NM. The award is presented annually to a collegiate chapter that demonstrates a high level of involvement in activities both in the school and in the community. "Our students are thrilled to receive this distinguished award, and it really shows the excellent commitment of our students at the University of Montana."
Nelita True returns to Montana

The Montana State Music Teachers Association is pleased to announce that Nelita True will be returning to her hometown of Bozeman, MT for our state conference in November, 2009. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from and engage with one of the most respected pedagogues of our generation. Plan now to attend!
